About

I am a PhD student in the Department of Information Systems at University of Maryland Baltimore County. I am working with Dr. Nirmalya Roy in the Mobile, Pervasive & Sensor Computing Lab. The main area of my research interest is applying Active┬áLearning techniques in various Sensor and Mobile computing domains. My research work involves monitoring and improving Assisted Daily Living (ADL) activities and activity recognition using mobile & ambient sensors in smart-home environment. I enjoy researches which involve both theoretical & technical aspects. My research interests are in –

  • Mobile Computing.

  • Our work got published in DCOSS.
  • I will be participating in PerCom 2017 and presenting one workshop paper and 1 demo paper there. Excited to visit Hawaii!!
  • Our work titled “Active Learning Enabled Activity Recognition” got published in IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications (PerCom) 2016.
  • Our team is selected for NSF I-Corps Fall 2015 Cohort. I am the entrepreneurial lead of our team. We have received a grant of $50,000.

Apart from academic stuff, I love watching football, movies and reading. I am a die hard fan of Manchester United & AC Milan. Also i can’t imagine life without music specifically Tool.
