I am a PhD student in the Department of Information Systems at University of Maryland Baltimore County. I am working with Dr. Nirmalya Roy in the Mobile, Pervasive & Sensor Computing Lab. The main area of my research interest is applying Active Learning techniques in various Sensor and Mobile computing domains. My research work involves monitoring and improving Assisted Daily Living (ADL) activities and activity recognition using mobile & ambient sensors in smart-home environment. I enjoy researches which involve both theoretical & technical aspects. My research interests are in –
- Active Learning.
- Deep Learning.
- Mobile Computing.
- Our work got published in DCOSS.
- I will be participating in PerCom 2017 and presenting one workshop paper and 1 demo paper there. Excited to visit Hawaii!!
- Our work titled “Active Learning Enabled Activity Recognition” got published in IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications (PerCom) 2016.
- Our team is selected for NSF I-Corps Fall 2015 Cohort. I am the entrepreneurial lead of our team. We have received a grant of $50,000.
