• To download research articles from your home, use the following proxy prefix in front of the URL you wish to access: "http://proxy-bc.researchport.umd.edu/login?url=". [For more info: Click here]

• For example, if you were to access google scholar, paste the above proxy prefix in front of Google Scholar Proxy: "http://proxy-bc.researchport.umd.edu/login?url=https://scholar.google.com/".

• You may use IEEE, ACM, and few other popular libraries' URL with the proxy prefix.

• Alternatively, you may use UMBC Library Search to look for an article. If you do not get your hands on any article, you have an option to request it through Inter Library Loan (ILL) through UMBC Library. [UMBC Library][ILL]

• Another alternative is to login to UMBC VPN (gpvpn.umbc.edu) with UMBC credentials, then click on the "Browse without Client Software" to paste the desired URL such as Google Scholar or IEEE and so on; to browse them and download articles.
